Incredible gifts Ron. It's something they'll treasure forever and maybe pass down to their kids one day. I'm hoping to build a couple for my kids to serenade their dear old dad with when they are a bit older.
Hah! It must have been big fun when you brought out the twins! I bow to you, oh great keeper of secrets.

Okay, now spill...you left one of these with unusually thick sides. How does it compare with the other?
Thanks, fellows.

Carlton, one has sides at .08, the other at .125. My ears cannot tell the difference. Everything else is as identical as I could make it.

Ron

Thanks, Ron. That's quite interesting. Maybe the stiffness or mass of the sides doesn't make that much difference in the final outcome (within reason, of course).

Way to go Ron. Great looking family
For those of you who haven't heard of Cracker Barrel and are driving to ASIA this year. It's usually a great place to eat. Rumor has it that Chet Atkins loved to eat at them. Tommy Emanuel claims Chet made Tommy pick up the tab at the local Cracker Barrel before they went on stage at the Grand Old Opry.Dave Rickard39079.9006944444

Ron, a nice set of twins for your boys, it's nice to surprise family, and by far the best gifts are those that the donor has laboured over and made with love.

Now, as we're all family here, and your building gifts for your family (see where I'm going?) Where's mine?

Colin

I'll get started right away, Colin.    Let's see, 1110 OLFers multiplied by 6 months per guitar......Hmmmmm, I'd better start this afternoon.    No, since the enrollment changes daily, I have to recalculate using calculus.        I'll get back with you later.
